Actually, that's wrong, I love Bank Holidays. After waking up at 9 and getting up at 10, I drummed for almost two hours. Still haven't had breakfast :P
I think that our travel itinerary for the summer is decided. J is heading out to Pa in Vancouver some time in July, while Dad, Mom and I are going to Spain/France. I may be visiting the two older mullets in 'Couv in August. I'd hope to, at least.
Was in Moneygall yesterday and J came to collect me. For ol' times sake, we went to Nenagh and Dromineer. We drove by all the old shops and even went down by the Gaelscoil. Christ it's changed! I mean, on RF we joked about it being akin to a concentration camp but Jeez! Big f iron gates 3 metres high replace the nice, inviting, child friendly wall/gate. A big mad extension's been added too.
We went out to Dromineer, and being 25 degrees and a Bank Holiday, it was thronged. We got ice creams and these chewy bar thingys that were packed with sugar but nice all the same. We walked along the pier and tried to decide which boat we'd steal while we watched a jet ski plowed around the bay.
On the way back, we listened to The Dresden Dolls, whom I love now, we took a new route by Killaloe and around the lake. It's fantastic and J says that "it was the most fun driving he's ever had" which is something.
On coming home I discovered Mom had found my iPod, which had been missing since February.
Later on last night we (J, D and I) played a class game of poker. I won two profitable hands early on, but didn't win much after that, until J's pile of chips began to dwindle. When he was forced to go all in by D, I made a killing from the both of them with a straight. So now it was down to me and D, we had a few quiet rounds, gradually betting more and more until I got another straight. I leapt on my opportunity by going all in. I beat D in a blaze of glory and then retired to bed.
